Wondering what types of items will be available at the pop up shop?  Check out this pin board on Pinterest.  It's filled with samples from each artist.

Sanctuary Sneak Peek - Plushies

Today is the last day I will be posting Sanctuary sneak peeks.  I'll have a whole new set of things to show you starting next week.  :-)

I saved my favorite item for last.  Yep, it's the plushies!   :-)

I took a couple of plushie designs.   Notice that they have new colors, too!  :-)

Seymour Monster

Pierre Owl (minus the mustache)

Penny Penguin

And...last but not least...I took one mini plushie to try out.

Archie

That's it!  Now that you have seen everything you can  buy at Sanctuary it's time to go shopping!  ;-)

I'm working on finishing up some plushies for Atown this weekend.  I'm taking the last batch this Wednesday.  I'm also making a small Dreaming in Craft display.  So much to do, so little time to do it.  I guess I better get to work.

What are you up to this weekend?

Fabric Button Hair Pins

I applied for a holiday craft show and I needed to have a new idea for a gift to put in the goodie bags if I was accepted.  My friend Bridget from Love Peace Family suggested making some fabric button hair pins to go along with the fabric button jewelry I already made.  Great idea!

I made one sample for the application.

I took the sample with me to meet with Sanctuary and she liked them so I made a few more to take to the store.

I'm ordering supplies to make more for Atown and I'm considering adding a couple pairs to my shop, too.  :-)

Have you been working on any new projects lately?

Sanctuary Sneak Peek - Buttons

This week's Sanctuary Sneak Peek is all about the button jewelry!

Necklaces

I tried to pick bright, fun colors to fit in with such a bright, fun store.

Of course I have some rings, too.

Large

Did you see the new packaging in the ring pictures?  I love it!

So much cute stuff...but that's not all!  Check back this afternoon so you can see the brand new item that I have available at Sanctuary!

Sanctuary Sneak Peek - Accessories

It's time to see more of the goodies I took to Sanctuary this week.  Today I'm going to share the accessories I took...with some new packaging!

 Flower Ponytail Holders

Large Flower Hair Clips

Small Flower Hair Clips

I got all eight colors packaged to go but at the last minute I decided to take five colors to try them out.  If people like them I will take more colors.

This is my new packaging.  I feel like a real business now that I have packaging.  I may not use the plastic for stores next time but I like the idea of having it for shows.

This weekend I will be making some zipper pouches and cell phone cases to take to Atown next week.  Then it's time for plushies!  I'm so excited!

What are you working on this weekend?

Sanctuary Sneak Peek - Pouches

I have been busy all day finishing up projects to take over to Sanctuary this week.  I still have quite a bit to go but I think I'll get it all done.  I took a few minutes to photograph the pouches I made so I could give you a little sneak peek.

Zipper Pouches

I will be taking two of my original designs

and three brand new flower designs!

These designs will be available in the shop as soon as I finish all of my consignment orders and have time to make more.  :-)

Cell Phone Cases

I haven't made any of these for a long time.

These will be available in the shop soon, too.

Are you working on any projects this weekend?  I would love to see pictures!  :-)

Atown

Guess what!  I have awesome news!  Dreaming in Craft will be available at Atown very soon!  I met with them this week and I have so many ideas planned.

Atown is a store in Austin filled with gifts, apparel, accessories, jewelry, home decor, furniture, local art and so many other wonderful things. I am really excited to be included with some really amazing local artists.  I was so proud to walk through the store and see so many products from members of Austin Craft Riot!  I'm lucky to be a part of such a talented team of artists.

I will be taking items to the shop as I have them and my displays ready so be sure to visit them often.  I'll post pictures of the items I'm taking to Atown here on the blog over the next few weeks.

Did I mention that I'm super??  :-)

Sanctuary

I  am so pleased to announce that Dreaming in Craft will soon be available at Sanctuary.  Sanctuary is a gift and clothing boutique located in Austin.  They carry work from over 50 amazingly talented local artists.  I am honored to be a part of this talented group.
I have been working hard over the past two weeks making pretty things to take next week.  I will be posting pictures of items you can find at Sanctuary here every Saturday in August.  I'm excited to show you!  :-)

Du Pre Emporium

A few weeks ago we got a flyer in the front door from a shop in Buda called Du Pre Emporium. They were looking for people to sell their items on consignment.  Since I was in the process of setting up my shop I decided that I would get more items in the shop and go check it out.  It's just down the street from my house...like a two minute walk.  Pretty perfect, right?

About a week after that the owner of the shop contacted some people on Etsy to see if they would be interested.  I hoped to sell my things in a store eventually but never really planned on it right away.  But, since the opportunity came up I decided I should at least go see what it was all about.  I was pleasantly surprised to see that there was a steady stream of people shopping when I was there.  I loved to see all kinds of fun crafty items mixed in with antiques and vintage pieces.  They have live music there, too!

I decided to go for it and rent a small space to try it out. I've been feeling pretty adventurous lately.  :-)  I don't know if I will make any money but I'm really excited to see what happens.  I had no idea how consignment worked until I did a little research this week so at the very least I will learn more about that.  It's a really fun shop and I look forward to working with them for the next few months.  I'm happy to have some of my items available in my town, too.  This way some of my work will be available during the festival season in Buda even when I can't rent a booth.  I like the idea of supporting local business and handmade in Austin and in my little town, too!

This is what my cute space looks like.

Imagine it with a Love Bite cookie and an Archie in the middle between the jewelry displays.  I wasn't able to get them finished by Friday.  I'm working on them today so I can drop them off tomorrow!
