Coffee Break - Ukuleles

I have wanted to learn how to play the ukulele for years but I never thought I could and I couldn't justify spending money when I had no reason to play it.  This year I decided I really wanted to learn even if it was just for fun.  I still haven't been able to buy one but I have done a lot of research about them in the past few months.  I even made some new twitter friends that I bug with all my ukulele questions.  :-)

A couple of months ago I saw this amazing apple ukulele made by Celentano Woodworks on Etsy and fell in love!

They have a really cute pear shaped ukulele, too!

Yesterday I found this little piece of awesome!

It's a cupcake!!!  Oh my goodness!  I want to own this ukulele!  Sadly, it is so not in my budget!

After doing research and asking my twitter expert a ton of questions I decided I wanted to buy a concert ukulele and this is the best one in my price range that he approved of.  It's not nearly as cute but it's a decent quality.  This is the Lanikai LU-21C.

But now I'm kind of thinking I might want to go ahead and get the soprano.

So, any thoughts or suggestions?  I can't decide!  :-)

Okay, back to work.  Thanks for hanging out on your coffee break!

When I was a kid my parents bought me a baritone ukulele and it was perfect! Baritone's are tuned similar to guitars so the chords are very similar if you ever plan to move up to a 6-sting!

I actually know how to play some guitar so the baritone would be a lot easier to learn, but I really love the sound of the soprano and concert size. :) So cute!
