Happy Mail - Goodies & Grasshoppers

I had so much fun participating in Happy Mail this month.  I definitely made a new friend out of this experience.  And it was super fun finding presents to send her, too.  Plus, who doesn't love getting mail??

We started out exchanging cards.

We emailed a couple of times to get to know each other a little bit better before we sent off our goodies.

After that it was time to get the packages ready to go!

This is what I sent to Laura.
  • Postcards & whale cards
  • Giraffes
  • Tiny Journal
  • Coin Purse
  • Bracelet & Ring
  • Fabric & Thread
  • Bunting (made by me)
  • Knit Headband (made by Velma)

These are the goodies Laura sent me!

I love everything she sent me!!  She sent all of my favorite things!

A lovely card

Fabric
I can't wait to make something pretty with it!

 BUTTONS!!!

These are my favorite.

She made this really cute felt pouch to hold the buttons.

Did you see what was on the front of the felt pouch?
LOVE IT!!!

Some very cute little felt hearts
These will be so perfect to accent some of my felt projects!

I told her that I love children's books.  She told me her favorite and I hadn't read it.  She sent it to me so I could read it!  This was my favorite gift that she sent.  So thoughtful!  I can't wait to read it!

And she sent me the perfect reading snack (aka my favorite candy)...Sour Patch Kids!!

I had so much fun participating in Happy Mail!  I recommend it to everyone.  I got really lucky with my awesome partner.  I look forward to keeping in touch with her in the future.  I have a thing or two in mind that I want to send her later on when I have time to sit down and work on them.  :-)

You're probably wondering why I titled this blog Goodies & Grasshoppers.  Don't worry.  I didn't send Laura any grasshoppers (I don't think).  ;-)  I was taking pictures of the goodies I sent Laura and it was too dark inside.  So I went outside on the porch but it was still too dark.  I ended up setting it all up in the front yard where I had direct sunlight.  Well, two grasshoppers decided to take over my little photoshoot.  They wouldn't leave!  They just kept jumping to a new place in the picture.  Of course, they were in a place where I couldn't crop them out so I decided to just let them be part of the pictures.

Here are some pictures of my little models.
