Felt Pins

I bought pin backs to try designing some felt pins last summer when I first started seriously planning Dreaming in Craft (way before it had a name!).  New projects (mostly plushies) came up and the pins got postponed over and over again.  I decided it was time to try to add some new products to the shop and since I have a couple of markets this month this seemed like the perfect time.  I have five designs drawn out and a list with tons of ideas all ready to go.  I only got two designs finished for the market last weekend.  I hope to have at least one more ready for next weekend.

This is what I have so far...

Happy Heart Pin

Balloon Pin

I layered three pieces of fabric to make it thicker.  I may still play around with the way I make them.  The layering seemed to work really well.  So far I think they came out pretty cute!  I'll keep you posted on new designs and changes I make to the current designs as I have them ready.

p.s.  You can now buy any of the pins in this post at Dreaming in Craft!  More colors and designs to come soon!

Mobile

I was going to share a different video with you today but embedding was disabled (Boo!) so I went through some of my favorites on Vimeo and found this little animation that I love.  It's called Mobile.  This is actually the trailer for a full length short film.  The full version is available with the accompanying children's book.  I kind of want to get the book so I can watch the whole film.  This trailer is adorable!

Don't you love it??

The video I was originally planning to post was one of my favorite scenes from Pushing Daisies.  Feel free to watch it on YouTube.  It's very cute!  :-)

I'll be back tomorrow with some new pretties I'm adding to the shop!

Here, There & Everywhere

Hi!  I hope you are having a lovely day.  I have a couple of fun things to share with you.

Do you remember the giveaway I hosted last month on Punk Projects?  Raynata from Urban Curio was the winner and she wrote a blog about the pretties she won!

I'm so glad she liked them!

Last Sunday I participated in an open house at Cypress Vanguard in Austin.  Jen from Jennifer Hearts Art posted some pictures of my table on her blog today!  It was so nice of her to include me.  :-)  Be sure to check out her blog to see pictures of some of the other great artists that were there, too.

Here is the picture she took of my plushies!

This is a quick picture I took of my table so you can see the whole thing.  I had to improvise my set up a little bit because the table was smaller than my regular table.

My Mismatched Life

Hello!  Just stopping by to tell you that I'm giving away this ring and necklace set as part of the blog party over at My Mismatched Life.  Feel free to join in the fun.  You could win lots of pretty prizes.  :-)

Treasury - Airstream Driver

I know it sounds silly but I have this little dream in the back of my mind of traveling around in an airstream trailer and seeing the country.  Wouldn't that be such a fun and simple life?  I know it's not realistic.  There's jobs and bills and other responsibilities that get it the way, but it sure is nice to think about it.  :-)

Today's treasury is all about fun trailers.  I call this one Airstream Driver.

I love everything in this treasury but I think my favorite has to be the Airstream bird house.  It is so cute!  :-)

Since I missed my music Monday post I thought I would add a little Airstream themed music.  This is Gomez with the song Airstream Driver.

Austin Mural Shadow Box

I made this shadow box out of one of my Austin photographs last weekend.

You can read my blog about it at Punk Projects!  :-)

I Heart Stop Motion - Believer

Hello everyone.  I'm finally posting my Friday video blog.  I was afraid to post it yesterday after the Blogger mess.  One of my blog posts was taken down and it hasn't been returned yet so I'm a little sad about that.  It's not the end of the world so I'll move on to some new fun stuff.  :-)

This is an amazing paper sculpture stop motion called "Believer".  It's by Jen Stark.  I have actually shown you some of her work before on the blog.  This is so beautiful.  It must have taken her forever to make this.
