Austin Craft Riot Holiday Show 2011

Hi!  I have been away for a little while.  The past couple of weeks have included the holiday show, my birthday and house cleaning to get ready for my sister's visit this weekend.

I wanted to stop by to show you a few of  the pictures I took of my booth at the Austin Craft Riot Holiday Show.  I didn't get many pictures.  I just didn't think about it during the craziness.  Next show I'll try to do better.

This is the booth I shared with my awesome friend Bridget from LPF Designs.

I love the way it turned out.  With all of the lights and stars it really stood out in the room.

This is my table.  I love my new banner!

I'm going to be making some small changes to my displays for my next show but over all I'm very happy with the way it looked.  It was a great weekend and I'm so happy that Austin Craft Riot was my first big show.  I can't wait to do another one!  :-)

Austin Craft Riot Holiday Show

After months of preparations the day is finally here!  This weekend is the 4th Annual Austin Craft Riot Holiday Show!

If you live in the Austin area be sure to stop by and say hi.  I'm sharing a booth with my friend Bridget from LPF Designs.   Get there early if you can.  The first 25 people each day will receive a really awesome goodie bag full of handmade stuff from our vendors.

For those of you who don't live here I'll do my best to take some booth pictures so you can see.  :-)

Have a great weekend!

Fabric Button Hair Pins

I mentioned on Tuesday that I made 100 fabric buttons that later became 50 pairs of fabric button hair pins.   My poor little fingers are still in shock from all that button making!  ;-)  I decided to list 10 pairs at

Wondering where the other 40 pairs are?  They're all going with me to the Austin Craft Riot Holiday Show!  They may make an appearance here later on in a Holiday Show Sneak Peek post so stay tuned!  ;-)

Austin Craft Riot Holiday Show

I have been mentioning preparing for craft shows a lot lately so I thought I would fill you in on why I'm working so hard right now.  On November 12th & 13th I will be participating in the 4th annual Austin Craft Riot Holiday Show!

This is the first big craft show I have ever done.  I was so nervous about applying.  I applied with my friend Bridget from LPF Designs and we got accepted!  I can't wait to share a booth with her.  It's been fun planning what we want our booth to look like.  You should see her shop. She makes really beautiful stuff.

I'm a little worried about being ready in time since I have been busy working on consignment orders for two stores for the last couple of months but I think I'll have enough...I hope I'll have enough.  ;-)

I will be posting lots of sneak peeks of the fun things I'm making and all of my new displays as I get them ready.  Did you see the Dreaming in Craft sign I posted last weekend?

If you live in the Austin area you should come out and see us in November!

CraZeeCrafteeZ

I have mentioned before that I am a member of the Austin Craft Riot team.  I love it so much.  I have learned a lot in the short time that I have been a member.  With all of the amazing talent and experience on that team I have some great people to learn from.

One of the team members, Manue from CraZeeCrafteeZ, makes some really amazing jewelry.  She recently came out with a series of birthstone necklaces made from her paper beads.  This is one of the most creative things I have seen in a very long time!  I love it!

Each birthstone has a specially designed bead to represent it.

You can even have a birthstone necklace made with your birthstone and a smaller bead for your child!

These would make a perfect gift for the holidays.  I have a feeling I will be purchasing a couple for family members when I start my Christmas shopping.

Be sure to check out the listing on Etsy and the rest of her beautiful shop.  If you live in Austin you can find her work around town at some really great shops.  A list of the stores she sells at is on her Facebook page.

Craft Party

Friday was Etsy's worldwide Craft Party!  I'm a member of Austin Craft Riot so I went to the awesome party they hosted.  I didn't get to stay long.  I wasn't feeling well.  I left work early on Friday because of it so I decided to just go for a little while.

I didn't get to try all the crafts but I did get to make a button

and a really cool upcycled t-shirt produce bag!  I love it!

They also had duct tape jewelry and The Wondercraft had screen printing.

There were lots of fun creative people there.  I enjoyed meeting some new people.  Hopefully next year I will be feeling better so I can stay and try out all of the crafts.  I love being a part of a such a great community of crafty people.  :-)

Did you go to an Etsy Craft Party?  What did you make??
